Growing up in today’s world isn’t easy for anyone, but for many kids in our community, it is tougher than you might think. Musaf and Ali are a perfect example of how your support and our hard work can make a huge difference in the lives of local youth. Musaf and Ali came to Des Moines from Africa and spoke very little English. Their family survives on little, but with the help of the Boys & Girls Clubs, these two brothers are thriving in school and exploring their interests on a daily basis. Today, they communicate very well, and both say they are appreciative of what Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa has done for them.

At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa, we dream of a world where every child is given the opportunity to succeed in life and experience a brighter future. Concentrating on youth who need us the most, our Clubs provide programs in health, education, career exploration, character development, the arts, and sports, fitness, and recreation.
