Mid Meredith Zuendel Boys & Girls Club Choir

The MMZ Choir, directed by Laura Sampson, is a music program at the Levitt Club for club members in grades 3-5 designed to help them experience the joy of singing, performing, and learning to read music. Through their involvement in choir, club members learn responsibility and commitment while having fun with their friends.

The MMZ Boys & Girls Club Choir was established in 2007 and has been successfully performing for audiences across the greater Des Moines area ever since. This year the choir has performed at the Old Bags into the Night VI Event in October, Levitt’s Family Holiday Dinner Night in December, and a group of choir members went caroling to various business partners and friends of BGCCI with our Executive Director, Sam Carell.

Spring 2010 performances include the Red Cross’ Heroes of the Heartland Awards Breakfast on March 4th and the Variety Telethon on March 7th at noon (this performance can be viewed on ABC 5). This will be the choir's second time performing at the Heroes of the Heartland Awards Breakfast, and our third performance on the Variety Telethon. The choir members enjoy performing for the community and are excited that they get to be on TV again.
