VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Change the Lives of Our Youth by Volunteering at One of Our 8 Club Locations

Our Club kids and teens need caring adults to help them develop their character and leadership skills, learn how to live healthy lifestyles, find the path to a fulfilling career, and to learn the professional skills they need to succeed in life.

Please email Tiffany Contreras tcontreras@bgcci.org to be added to our volunteer email list, schedule a donation drop-off at BGCCI, or ask any questions you might have.

Become a BGCCI Volunteer Today

To participate in our volunteering opportunities, all individuals must submit a background check to tcontreras@bgcci.org.

It costs Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa $30 to run each background check. We ask that all individuals donate towards their background check to help cover the costs of onboarding. To donate, please mail checks to Tiffany Contreras with “background check” listed in the memo or visit our donations page

We believe volunteers are the heart and soul of every community, and it is this spirit of giving that inspires action. Your investment of time is important, and we thank you for making our Club members and families a priority.

Great Futures Society

Great Futures Society is a young professionals committee that extends their time, talent and resources to support the mission of BGCCI – ultimately making a difference in the lives of youth in our community.

Great Futures Society is focused on four objectives:

  • Create a welcoming philanthropic environment where young professionals can meet, gain exposure, share ideas and experiences.

  • Support BGCCI through personal financial investment, fundraising, & volunteerism

  • Serve as ambassadors – introducing the mission of BGCCI to internal networks through word of mouth, social media and/or personal introductions, to help increase awareness.

  • Own BGCCI’s Youth of the Year program and event, including the recruitment of candidates, preparation and mentorship of candidates, event fundraising and event preparation.

    • Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Clubs’ premier recognition program, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Club members. Each year, high school aged Club members in Central Iowa, and in Clubs across the country, compete in a robust competition to hone their leadership skills, make valuable connections, and win scholarship awards.
